Biodigesters

Back to Fuel Types

Overview

Biodigesters convert organic waste materials into combustible methane gas, known as biogas, which can be used for clean cooking, as well as for other electrical needs. The residue of the process – bio-slurry – can be used as an organic fertilizer.

CCA defines ‘biogas companies’ as those that offer pre-fabricated biogas systems with business models that make them affordable to people living in low-and-middle-income countries, or companies that provide remote biogas monitoring services to other biogas operators.

If you are a biodigester business that serves customers in developing countries, and you would like to feature on this page, please complete this form.
