Omat Jiko aims to create awareness of clean energy solutions through research into and development of cleaner charcoal stoves and supporting cleaner charcoal production technology in the small scale.

Clean Cooking Activities
Development of Omat Jiko prototypes Omat1 and Omat2, the first of which is a cleaner charcoal stove and the second which incorporates a small scale briquette maker into the stove model which will enable stove users to make their own briquettes from biomass including dried water hyacinth and other plant matter.
Partnership
The organization will continue research and development of our Omat prototypes and submit testing information as well as help create awareness within East Africa of clean energy alternatives. The organization will also provide support for market development and design considerations for clean energy stoves.
