Strengthen capabilities to climate change adaptation and livelihoods of communities, reducing the use of wood and expenses related to standard kitchens.
Strengthen the resilience of communities to floods (when they do not have dry wood)
Generate economic sustenance and sustainability (solar cookers as dehydrators of fruits and seeds, for example)
Partnership
Practical Action Latin America has a great wealth of experience and technical skills on all aspects of stove projects from technology development, through to market support, awareness raising and gender and health issues in a wide range of community settings. As well as testing the use of cookstoves in the field and the evaluation of its energy efficiency.
