Elisa Derby
Elisa Derby is the Senior Director of Research, Evidence and Learning for the Clean Cooking Alliance. She leads CCA’s work building capacity and facilitating collaboration between diverse technical experts and policymakers to translate local needs and scientific expertise into publicly accessible information and action, including leading CCA’s Standards and Testing portfolio. Elisa has 20 years of clean cooking sector expertise as an experienced project and program manager and technical facilitator. Prior to joining CCA she led Winrock International’s 15-year household energy and clean cooking portfolio, including co-coordinating CCA’s precursor Partnership for Clean Indoor Air from 2003 through the establishment of CCA. She has been an active technical expert member of ISO Technical Committee 285 (Clean Cookstoves and Clean Cooking Solutions) since its inception, and has led or supported multiple research projects investigating consumer adoption of cooking technologies and practices and resulting impacts. She holds a Master’s degree from UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources group.
