Clean Cooking Activities
To manufacture cylinders for LPG and other gaseous products in the right specifications and sizes suitable for our customers.
• To retool and improve existing plant to cater for government initiative policy on the CRM.
• To refurbish and certify recalled cylinders to ensure the safety of the end users.
• To educate the public on safe handling and use of LPG cylinders to curtail domestic accidents.
• To increase our visibility on both domestic and export markets to enhance and expand our competitive market position.
• To promote via various media, space the use of LPG gas as the preferred fuel for domestic consumption to curtail the depletion of our forests, and most importantly, reducing the health hazard posed through excessive inhaling of emissions such as smoke.
Partnership
Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited has the capacity to significantly increase the number of LPG cook stoves and cylinders on the Ghanaian market.
GCMC in partnership with the Global Alliance should be able to extend its reach to a larger number of the Ghanaian population through higher production volumes and also carrying out key educational drives to empower the general public about the safe use of LPG and the benefits that comes with using it.
GCMC is also promoting in collaboration with agencies such as the World Bank initiatives, spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance, the use of LPG as an alternative form of cooking to firewood and charcoal. GCMC intends to pilot a combined product comprising of 6kg cylinders, cook stoves and its retail accessories together termed as the “Cooking Set”, for the ease of cooking for our rural and less deprived areas.
