Clean Cooking Activities
BRIQUETTES
We have been producing and testing briquettes since December 2013. Our goal is to sell them directly to households, supermarkets as well as to large institutions. Our primary area of focus is initially around the factory in Muyenga but plan to reach eventually the greater Kampala area.
All our clients have expressed a desire for a long burning, easy to ignite, smokeless, “dirtless”, eco friendly and cheap source of cooking energy. This need is completely met by our briquette.
We have begun branding our briquettes and are currently supplying supermarkets and a number of repeat individual customers in Kampala.
STOVES
Briquettes sale faster to new clients when introduced with a stove. Hence our energy save stoves. We had begun by contracting a stove maker to supply us with stoves but decided to start our own production as a measure to monitor and control quality.
We currently have 2 types of stoves: standard and premium stoves. These are currently made on order.
Partnership
Our goal to transform community through our agroforenergy (agriculture, forestry and energy production) activities are in line with GACC overall goals to ensure that 100 million households have access to clean cooking environments. Increasing our capacity to produce and sell both more stoves and briquettes positions us to be able to raise the necessary funding to roll out our entire business model which has community transformation at the heart of its existence.
