Clean Cooking Activities
We have been developing the CDM/VER/PoA Cookstoves projects around the globe and we are the leading of the carbon credit leader in the market. We also provide consultancy regarding GHG emission and climate changes related issues, we also assist GACC in developing the "Carbon Finance Web Portal Development & Maintenance" in order to develop and maintain a web-based information and assistance platform that provides consolidated information and active assistance on carbon finance issues to the clean cookstove community and to the GACC.
Further more, "South Pole has successfully verified the 1st VCS-CCBS forestry project in South America in 2011 – the Asorpar Regeneration of Degraded Lands Project in Colombia. In 2013 South Pole verified one of the world´s largest community-based REDD+ project – the Kariba REDD+ project and with 5.5 M verified tCO2e emission reductions. In 2014 South Pole successfully executed several large AFOLU mandates on national & sub-national scale, including AFOLU NAMA design in Honduras & Tunisia, 2 REDD+ readiness mandates in Indonesia and continuous contributions to the VCS JNR framework as members of expert groups. These and many other successes were realized by a highly qualified and motivated AFOLU team of by now 12 full-time Land Use & Forests experts."
