Clean Cooking Activities

As the immediate past Chairperson of the Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, I have worked hard to coordinate the organization into a credible one. Activities have included awareness creation, education on the benefits of improved cookstoves, mainstreaming gender into energy projects, advocacy, policy and regulation, M&E and women's empowerment, etc.

Partnership

I have worked with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves since its inception in 2010/2011, joining in the formulation of the gender strategy, the Supply Chain and the Energy Practitioner Network of the UN Foundation, and I know hope to continue to realize the goals of the Alliance of reaching 100 million people adopting clean cookstoves and fuels by 2020. I have encouraged and showed people how to become a partner of the Alliance and would continue to work hand in hand with them on advocacy, women's empowerment, training of girls to become stove maintenance technicians, and distribution of improved cookstoves and fuels.
