Mission
VEW is a Ugandan engineering firm specializing in the manufacture and deployment of heavy duty institutional cook stoves. Our stoves are the largest portable stoves in the industry, each 300 Liter stove is capable of feeding several hundred people. VEW Stoves are industrial appliances that are built to last, featuring rugged construction and easy maintenance features. Focusing exclusively on the largest of institutional stoves allows us to address the harmful impacts of wood-fueled feeding programs at schools, prisons and refugee camps.

Our activities consist of the design, manufacture, deployment and maintenance of high efficiency institutional cook stoves in East Africa.
VEW is a vertically integrated operation that handles assessment, site selection, and implementation in addition to production of institutional stoves. As such we provide a tightly integrated package to organizations interested in addressing the energy challenges inherent in large feeding programs.

VEW supports GACC's mission by designing, manufacturing, and deploying the most efficient and durable product in the large (300 liter class) institutional stove sector.
As a manufacturer of stoves and a vendor of deployment services, VEW seeks to collaborate with other alliance members who have a mandate to improve the performance, and reduce the impact, of wood fueled institutional feeding programs.
