The Gordon Rocket Company has developed a line of premium, wood-fired stoves designed for camping, barbecues and home preparedness. With “rocket” type combustion, the Gordon Rocket uses a uniquely tuned design to optimize the natural chimney-effect which pulls air into an enclosed combustion chamber.
As in all rocket-type stoves, wood-use efficiency is very high (up to 10X), while producing little or no smoke and featuring self-cleaning operation. The Gordon Rocket Stove (GRS) innovation was to put this idea into a mobile, reproducible, safe and effective device.
Unlike any other rocket stove, the GRS offers three-way cooking with a Stove, Oven and BBQ. Proven in testing, each component offers high-heat and the Stove can warm water quicker than a conventional stove-top. The BBQ sears the meat quickly and aromatic wood chips - while vaporized, re-condense on the meat imparting a delicate, but smokey flavor. Largely self-cleaning, it may be a master barbecuer’s perfect tool and a camper’s best friend.
