Clean Cooking Activities

Dechets a l'Or collects and processes solid waste from secondary cities of West Africa into reusable byproducts. We particularly specialize in biogas energy and briquette fuel for clean cookstoves. Our association is also exploring partnerships to support manufacturing and sales of improved cookstoves in secondary cities of Guinea and West Africa.

Partnership

Infrastructure Systems Managers / Dechets a l'Or has been working on waste in secondary cities in Guinea for several months, and we are shifting to waste processing very soon. We hope to use this partnership to learn best practices and gain insight on briquette and cookstove production. Additionally, as we seek funding, we hope that the Alliance may serve as a resource on potential pools of funds. As an implementing partner, we can help contribute our distribution knowledge with other Alliance partners or with the Alliance itself. Since we operate in secondary cities we are able to test and help others who are seeking to test out innovative tools and approaches, while exploring different markets.
