Clean Cooking Activities

Energy resources in Tanzania is one among the emitting sector especially by the rural poor. Biomass is the leading source of energy buy it has been utilized in an inefficient and sustainable way. Most of these unsustainable ways are rooted in poor knowledge and awareness on the technologies that can support living while utilizing the same sources of energy e.g. clean-cooking stove using crop residues. The interest of CAN Tanzania is therefore motivated by the current situation where we are striving to implement the SDGs, while contributing on the National Five Years Development plan. The idea behind this interest is also to feed in the National efforts to implement the Paris Agreement and reducing community poverty in the sense that No one is left behind, with no detraction and emissions to compromise the future

Partnership

As a network on organization from different regions in the country, our organization will capitalize on bringing all the stakeholders (as prioritized in the humanitarian clean cooking stove), to raise communities awareness while helping to sustain their livelihood in a sustainable way. Also our participation will emphasize on collective and particpatory approaches in planning, implementing and evaluating the project and other interventions that contributes on prosperity of the clean cooking stove technologies and acceptability.
