Carry out transdisciplinary research, innovation and testing on biofuels and eco-technologies in the residential sector, to link scientific knowledge from academic institutions with other social actors, particularly in the rural sector.

Clean Cooking Activities
LINEB is interested in conducting research to improve the quality of life of communities living in energy poverty. Its activities include performing energy needs diagnoses that consider cultural and geographical aspects, evaluating cooking and space heating devices following norms and standards, monitoring greenhouse gases and exposure concentrations to know the impacts on the health of users and on the environment. ambient. LINEB activities involve in-field and laboratory activities mainly in the residential sector where the use of fuels and technologies (wood-burning cookstoves, gasifiers and water heaters), but also the industrial sector where the production of biofuels such as charcoal, pellets and briquettes (improved and traditional pyrolysis ovens, drying of raw materials, etc.) takes place
Partnership
LINEB can contribute to developing research and monitoring of technologies used locally and promoting technological innovation to tangibly improve the conditions of marginalized communities. LINEB can advise other testing centers (RTKCs) for the application of current protocols, develop cookstove catalogs and contribute to the development of new standards and protocols.
