Clean Cooking Activities

My Organization's current initiative is to promote clean cooking stoves in the six geo political zones of the country targeted at reaching out to the population of over one hundred and fifty million people, a task that is possible only through support and sponsorship on a large scale. Right now most parts of my country are experiencing fuel wood shortages and the effects of pollution in both urban and rural areas. The program will begin at the semi arid zones comprising of the north eastern states of Nigeria where there are severe acute shortage of cooking fuels, especially among the low income earners of the country. The country is divided into 36 states with Abuja as the federal capital. Our target is to promote the uses of clean cooking stoves to all the states of the country including the capital within the period now and the next forum of clean cook stove promoters etc.

Partnership

We will like to participate through networking, publication of clean cook stove programs, producing or manufacturing of cooking stoves in the country, attending clean cooking forums if supported through travelling cost and other logistics at the forum. We are endowed with this promotion experience since 2000 and are already an expert and resource persons on this viable technology. We would like to participate through presentation of papers via solar cooking technology with the title, the economic and ecological consideration for solar cooking technology in Nigeria. We have the skills of producing solar cooking stoves of the following models: cook it, box, and parabolic using locally available resources.
