Mission
Proto Energy (PE) provides quality basic energy solutions that are safe, efficient, environmentally friendly and affordable. Our main focus is to replace the use of wick-based paraffin stoves and wood/charcoal fires in South Africa and other African countries with the Protostar Clean Cookstove and Protostar Clean Cookfuel, and so improve the living conditions of low income households through a safer, cleaner, healthier and cheaper way of cooking.

Production and Distribution Proto Energy operates from premises in Chamdor, Johannesburg, SA, where we bottle the fuel, store product and distribute from. Stoves are manufactured in South Africa.
The stoves are currently being sold in retail outlets across South Africa.
Partnership
We would like to contribute to the advancement of cleaner cooking in SA and other African Countries by distributing out products where there is a need. In this way we want to increase the quality of living of the people.
