EnDev Cooking Energy Webinar Series 2022

Since 2005, the Energising Development (EnDev) partnership is piloting and scaling up approaches to support and foster markets for modern cooking energy services. Until 2020, EnDev has reached around 18 Mio beneficiaries with improved, modern, and clean cooking energy solutions. The EnDev projects have generated a wealth of knowledge and experiences, which we want to address. Through the Learning & Innovation Agenda, EnDev aims to support implementers in the SDG7 community with experiences and practical recommendations for improving sector learning, collaboration, and design of future clean cooking energy projects.

The webinar series

The Cooking Energy webinar series 2022 provides a platform for sharing, learning and inspiring with innovative concepts, approaches, and experiences. The scope of the series covers the entire cooking energy portfolio of EnDev, including 1) applied empirical approaches and findings, 2) methodologies and instruments for demand creation, 3) innovation and inspiration for accelerating supply and scaling up.

Under the headline of applied empirical approaches and findings, we want to address the assessments of market potentials for e-cooking, the evaluation of exposure impacts of EnDev cooking interventions and the assessment framework Cooking Energy System (CES), incl. findings from first applications. Individual invitations will be sent for the following sessions:

• 15.02.22 Assessment of market potentials for e-cooking in 8 selected EnDev countries – results presentation Speakers: MECS team at University of Loughborough

• 29.03.22 Evaluating the exposure impacts of cooking interventions in rural Senegal: The role of technology and cooking environment – methodology and findings Speakers: RWI & Duke University

We invite everyone interested in joining our discussion! For further information please contact verena.brinkmann@giz.de or simone.fehrenbach@giz.de
