Future Carbon
Future Carbon designs, manufactures, and disseminates an improved cookstoves, the “Shakti Chula.” based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Future Carbon has an existing distribution channel consisting of more than fifty NGOs, small/medium enterprises, and local entrepreneurs around Bangladesh. In 2016, Future Carbon was awarded an Enterprise Marketing Fund (EMF) grant from the Alliance to enhance their marketing activities. Future Carbon used their EMF grant to scale-up their Surjokonna campaign, where women are employed as sales agents of clean energy products and travel to communities to raise awareness about the benefits of the Shakti Chula stove. Their Surjokonna campaign included door-to-door visits, after-sales service, radio advertisements, print material distribution, and promotional activities in schools, health centers, markets, and religious institutions.
