Africa Women and Children Conference 2025
Themed “Young Voices, Innovative Ideas, Greater Impact for Africa,” the 2025 edition of the Africa Women and Children Conference (AFRIWOCC) is focused on empowering young people—particularly young women—as critical actors in sustainable development, climate resilience, and inclusive policymaking. The event convenes leaders from government, civil society, private sector, and development agencies, and aims to drive forward practical solutions that prioritize the voices and leadership of women and youth.
AFRIWOCC 2025 will feature a high-level panel on clean cooking, under the theme “Fueling Change: Accelerating Africa’s Clean Cooking Transition.” This session will explore how innovation, policy, and partnerships can be harnessed to drive large-scale access to clean cooking solutions across the continent—an issue that sits at the intersection of climate change, gender equity, health, and sustainable development.
