Clean Cooking Summit 2026 Conference
The Governments of Kenya, Norway and the United States, together with the International Energy Agency, will convene the second major international Summit dedicated to advancing clean cooking access for the 1 billion people in Africa who currently lack it.
The 2026 Summit will be co-chaired by President of Kenya William Ruto, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, United States Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and IEA Executive Director Dr Fatih Birol.
Taking place in Nairobi on 9-10 July 2026, the Summit will build on the momentum generated by the landmark 2024 Paris Summit, where a historic USD 2.2 billion was committed by governments and the private sector. The Nairobi Summit aims to mobilise further financial and political commitments, bringing together governments, industry leaders, investors, development partners, and civil society to accelerate progress towards universal access.
