Cleared for Take-Off: How CORSIA is moving from policy to practice

The final months of 2025 marked a turning point for the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), with Phase 1 of the scheme now in full swing.

Gold Standard approved the market’s first private insurance policies and applied its first Phase 1 eligible carbon credit labels, unlocking nearly two million tonnes of new supply. At the same time, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) approved programmes, including Gold Standard, for Phase 2 (2027–29), bringing much-needed certainty for airlines, investors, and project developers.

Join Gold Standard and leading voices from across the sector to explore where CORSIA stands today and what comes next. This webinar will cut through the complexity to examine how the carbon market is responding to the supply challenge, what new opportunities are emerging for project developers and investors, and how airlines can position their compliance strategies for the years ahead.

The session will cover:

  • A concise recap of CORSIA eligibility and what it means for project developers;
  • The latest Gold Standard developments supporting CORSIA-eligible supply;
  • IATA’s work with host countries on issuing Article 6 Letters of Authorisation;
  • Real-world project developer insights on securing authorisations and using insurance solutions;
  • How airlines are approaching Phase 1 compliance in practice.

Designed for airlines, investors, and project developers navigating CORSIA Phase 1 and preparing for Phase 2.
