Moving Forward on Clean Cooking Standards: Updates from Malawi and Ethiopia – Full Webinar Video & Slides
In partnership with the US EPA, ISO, WHO, and other key stakeholders, CCA led two regional standards and testing workshops in Nepal (December 2018 for participants from Asia) and Uganda (July 2019 for participants from Anglophone sub-Saharan Africa). Based on progress achieved since the Uganda workshop, CCA, EPA and ISO invited workshop participants from Malawi and Ethiopia to share their experiences with the broader group. Representatives from both country delegations provided an update on progress made with their action plans, the challenges they encountered, and how they plan to further advance towards clean cooking in their countries. The September 17th workshop drew 110 participants from around the world, including the new Minister of Energy of Malawi as an honored guest speaker.
