- Summary: ECREEE is seeking a consultant to support the development of its next strategic plan for 2022 – 2026 to achieve ECOWAS’ goal of providing access to safe, clean, affordable, efficient and sustainable energy for the entire population of the region by 2030. ECREEE has been facilitating the development and implementation of sustainable energy projects and its work program has three main areas—renewable energy, energy efficiency, and cross-cutting themes. The cross-cutting themes include: a) sustainable energy policy and enabling environment; b) climate change; c) certification of sustainable energy skills; d) gender mainstreaming; e) resource mobilization; f) energy data collection, management, and publication; g) program communications and, h) information and communication technology.
The consultant would perform: 1) an Assessment of the implementation status of the current (2017 – 2021) strategic plan; and 2) Development of the next strategic plan. The work is expected to start mid-September and last 60 days. The consultant should demonstrate experience in working with an ECOWAS agency and at least 2 years of experience in working within the ECOWAS region.
