CookFund Programme – UNCDF/UNDP

Introduction

This specific tender is managed via the new supplier portal system of UNDP Quantum. If you are interested in submitting a bid for this tender, you must subscribe following the instructions in the user guide. If you have not registered a profile with this system, you can do so by following the link for Supplier Registration.

If you already have a supplier profile, please access the negotiation using quicklink or please login to the Supplier Portal, then search for the negotiation using the reference number UNCDF-00390, following the instructions in the user guide.

Submission Portal & Registration

Proposals must be submitted directly via the Quantum Supplier Portal (http://supplier.quantum.partneragencies.org), using your existing profile. In the Portal, search for the tender using the Negotiation ID referenced in this document.

If you’re new to the Portal, register following the link in the procurement notice and the step‑by‑step guidance provided on the UNDP website: UNDP Resources for Bidders.

Important: Do not create a new profile if you already have one — use the “Forgotten Password” tool to recover access.

Application Window & Deadline

• Open for 30 days from the notice date

• Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early, as the project team conducts quarterly review sessions to ensure efficient evaluation and processing

Target Segments

The CookFund supports businesses in clean cooking solutions, including:

• Electric cookers

• Briquettes

• LPG (PAYGO & canisters)

• Bioethanol/ethanol

• Institutional clean cooking (e.g. schools, prisons, hospitals)

• Natural gas

• Biogas

• Improved energy-efficient charcoal stoves

How to Apply – Submission Requirements

1. Language & Format

   • All materials must be in English

   • Applications must follow the official CookFund template

2. Core Application Package

   • Minimum 1 year of financial statements (USD or TZS)

   • 3-year financial projections, detailing:

     • Financial position & balance sheets

     • Revenue and profit forecasts

     • Leverage ratios

3. Supporting Documents (attach via Portal and email if required)

   • Company registration & compliance certificates

   • Audited financial statements

   • Business plan

   • Photos of operations

4. Submission Compliance

   • Applications not using the CookFund format or received after the deadline will be automatically rejected
