Pilot Innovation Fund Awardees
In December, the Alliance reviewed approximately 75 applications for the Pilot Innovation Fund (PIF) from organizations around the world. The PIF, supported by Environment Canada, was designed to jumpstart innovative approaches to strengthen supply and enhance demand in the sector along the value chain. In return for seed capital to finance and pilot these innovations, recipients are required to document lessons learned and share results to advance awareness of scalable solutions in the sector. The applications we received proposed a variety of pilots and utilized many different stove and fuel types. The average grant size awarded was approximately $50,000. Through a highly competitive process, the Alliance is proud to announce the following award recipients:
