Voting results on ISO Standards

In December 2015, Working Group 2 of ISO Technical Committee 285 submitted a Committee Draft for voting by participating countries in the committee.  After a 3 month open ballot with 25 countries voting, ISO/CD 19867-1 Harmonized laboratory test protocols — Part 1: General laboratory test sequence was approved to be circulated as a Draft International Standard.  The voting demonstrates broad agreement in the approach and ideas in the laboratory standard that balances the goal of international comparability and flexibility to specific conditions.  Many countries also submitted comments to strengthen the document further.  Working Group 2 will be discussing the submitted comments before circulating the Draft International Standard.  More information on ISO process.
