Radha’s Message for March 2017
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Haiti, where we’re continuing our work with partners, government officials, and other stakeholders to collectively develop an action plan for catalyzing the cookstoves and fuels market. It is clear that a multi-fuel approach will be necessary to affect both short term and longer term change and positive impacts for women, the environment, and climate.
We are pleased to announce the date and location for the Clean Cooking Forum 2017. The Alliance will co-host the biannual event in New Delhi, India, from October 24-28, together with partners TataTrusts and TERI. Additional details will be announced soon on the Forum website, and we’re looking forward to seeing many of you in India!
Also this month, coinciding with International Women’s Day, we launched a new round of funding available through the Women’s Empowerment Fund. In its fourth round, WEF has already empowered numerous women energy entrepreneurs who are increasing access to much-needed cookstoves and fuel within their communities.
