A New Generation of Alliance Supporters

Supporters of the Alliance, both large and small, recognize how fostering a clean cooking environment, household-by-household, will benefit everyone the world over. Without our generous supporters, the Alliance’s life-saving work would not be possible; and now, a new generation of supporters is helping to save lives by making clean and safe cooking a reality for millions of people around the world.

Recently, three second-graders from the Marin Montessori School in California—Layla, Emily, and Ally—raised $220 on behalf of the Alliance. They were inspired to contribute to the Alliance’s work when they saw videos of air pollution and contaminated lakes in China. The three girls began to educate their classmates about this pressing issue and decided to take action. Their Redtail Hawk Class hosted a musical performance and a bake sale to raise funds for the Alliance. Shortly thereafter, the Alliance received a hand-written letter from the school and their generous $220 donation.
