She comes to the Alliance from the U.S. Department of Energy where she managed the Biomass Program's clean cookstoves research and development initiative and a research portfolio to improve the environmental impacts of U.S. and global bioenergy production.

Ranyee has contributed to multilateral roundtables to develop indicators and standards for bioenergy sustainability, and was a Contributing Author to the IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation. She has worked in science education as a postdoctoral researcher at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. “I am excited and honored to be joining the Alliance as Senior Technical Manager for Standards and Testing. In my new position, I look forward to strengthen our global testing capacity and to continue the inclusive and transparent standards development process that is underway. My top priority is to facilitate the great work that all of the partners are doing, so please feel welcome to share your ideas, concerns, needs, and feedback with me at rchiang@www.cleancookstoves.org.”
