Ashden Launches 2014 Call for Entries
The Ashden Awards – one of the world’s leading green energy awards – is seeking entries for its 2014 Awards. They want to hear from trailblazing sustainable energy enterprises and programmes from developing countries that are increasing the poor’s access to energy and improving lives, while protecting the environment. Entry is free, with up to five outstanding winners to receive awards worth up to £40,000 at a prestigious ceremony in London on 22 May 2014. Winners also receive business support, global profile and help with access to finance; as well as the opportunity to join an elite community of Ashden Alumni. Companies and programmes working with cookstoves were heavily represented in the 2013 Ashden Awards: winners included D&E Green Enterprises in Haiti; Impact Carbon; and WWF-DRC.
