SOCAP Video: Alliance Spark Fund Boosting Cookstove Businesses Globally
As part of the Alliance’s work building a market for clean cookstoves and fuels, the Spark Fund was created to provide the critical financing needed to help early stage enterprises reach commercial viability. Since then the Spark Fund has supported 15 businesses, which collectively have more than doubled production, have launched multiple products to market, and have secured millions more in follow-up investment.
To highlight the Spark Fund and its grantees, the Alliance released a video during SOCAP 2016 that provides an overview of the Fund and features interviews with Alliance CEO Radha Muthiah, current grantees Burn and Greenway Appliances, and representatives for social investors Deutsche Bank and Acumen.
