Kenya is a catalytic force in the global clean cooking sector’s efforts to ensure that cooking does not kill. From supporting new cookstove standards to participating in groundbreaking research to hosting entrepreneurs who are meeting market needs and improving livelihoods, the public and private sectors in Kenya are critical to the achievement of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves’ mission and goals. This series of announcements in February 2014 mark an important turning point in Kenyan, East African and global efforts to save lives and the planet through the creation of a market for clean cooking solutions.
