Some of the key R&D projects ongoing at Abellon include… ® • Biomass Characterization and Pretreatment Technologies such as Torrefaction for improving fuel quality, minimizing transportation costs,and removal of impurities. • Lignocellulosic Bio – Ethanol • Bio-ethanol from hybrid feedstocks • Bio-diesel from marine algae • Bio-oil from biomass through Pyrolysis • Flue gas clearing and capturing • Tissue Culture for continuous supply of scientifically produced, disease-free, pathogen-free, genetically uniform and high biomass- yielding planting material. ® The company has a state-of-the art laboratory with strong expertise in Biotechnology/ Microbiology, and has built up a significant IPR pool through its efforts. The facility is recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
