Mission

To develop and disseminate fuel efficient clean cookstoves technologies to as many households and institutions as possible guided by professionalism, commitment, transparency and integrity. ®

Other Organizational Expertise

We have been in the business of wood fuel stoves production since 1996 for both domestic and institutional use We also produce wood fuel water heaters We produce woofuel ovens for cakes, bunns and bread

Technologies & Fuels

Biomass (Ag. Residue, Processed Biomass, etc.), Charcoal

Other Technologies Fuels

We install biogas systems to households that have dairy animals for domestic use To address the problem of disposing sanitary waste in girls institutions, we install low cost medical incinerators.®  This is an intervention that has been received very well because the institutions could previously only dig pits to dispose.®  Since the waste cannot decompose, the space for digging more pits was a® serious challenge.®  Those that have taken it up have benefitted immensly

Clean Cooking Activities

We have developed a domestic cookstove christened "Clean Mama" that is targeted to:

rural households and informal urban settlements (SLUMS).®

Pastoralist communities

Refugee camps

Once the stove is rolled out, we expect it will provide major benefits to these populations whose only source of cooking fuel is firewood.®  It is designed to use little firewood and hence reducing the cost of fuel and also reduce the destruction of trees due to the efficient use of fuel.®  Due to its low smoke emmission, it will also mitigate on the health problems associated with smoky kitchens.

Partnership

We have produced and distributed energy saving wood fuel stoves for over 17 years and therefore have the necessary experience to partner in production and distribution of cook stoves to both institutions and domestic households.

We have made installations throughout the country and therefore are familiar with all the challenges in the different areas of our country.

We have successfully implemented a partnership with DANIDA under the EARS (education assessment and resource services ) program which involved the production and distribution of clean cook stoves in special schools throughout the country.

This therefore places us competitively for a partnership of implementing any cookstove programm with the Alliance
