Mission

The Bright Generation Community Foundation is committed to the promotion of children, youth and women's social and economic welfare. We aim at assisting the needy and disadvantaged, especially children, youth and women for poverty reduction through sustenance of wealth creation, development and self-reliance spirit in them by means of sporting activities, health programs, skills development in education, agricultural and capacity building.

Clean Cooking Activities

Through our partnership with Green Microfinance and other international development agencies Bright Generation Community Foundation provides solar lantern and clean energy cook stoves in rural and peri-urban areas in Ghana as our contribution to reduce indoor air pollution resulting from the use of kerosene, cooking fires and increasing charcoal prices.
Since the program's inception over 3000 solar lanterns has been provided and testing of over 1200 different cookstoves to adopt the best model suitable for the needs of the people.

Partnership

Sharing of expertise, knowledge and best practices with alliance members and other stakeholders, Actively promote the Alliance and work in Ghana to educate potential stakeholders regarding the environmental, health, and economic benefits of clean cook stoves and fuels and strive to increase the number of households in Ghana using efficient cook stoves as we strive to help meet the alliance goal of reaching 100 million households by the year 2020.
