Clean Cooking Activities

The tubular biogas is a green technology that uses local and affordable materials: animal waste like cow dung and chicken droppings; plant materials; leftover food; and human waste. From waste to health!

We ensure household hygiene & sanitation, and produce real green energy without any harmful smoke to use in both kitchen & lighting, we also protect environmental ecosystems by avoiding deforestation, and from our activities, we have taken an action to be part of the solution to adapt to and mitigate the consequences of climate change.
-Clean and efficient energy for cooking and lighting.
-Reduction of children/women’s vulnerability to respiratory diseases and eye irritations caused by smoke.
-Reduction of children and women’s workload.
-Reduction of deforestation, firewood collection, and charcoal use.
-Improvement of general sanitation and management of livestock / human waste.
-Reduction of carbon emissions that cause global warming.
Increase of family productivity;
⁕Biogas Fuel:
- For cooking and reducing deforestation
- For lighting and reducing the use of paraffin
⁕ Fertilizer Production: The slurry is a better fertilizer to use directly on crops or even in fish ponds replacing inorganic products.
⁕Better Sanitation: Potentially harmful organisms are removed. Case of slums use of bio-toilets!
⁕It can run small engines to produce electricity.

Partnership

CICOPA would like the partnership to implement our environmental, healthy, and renewable energy related projects Our participation would continue developing extensive networks and links with local stakeholders through out the Burundian territory and neighboring countries. CICOPA would provide qualified experienced staff and local office material to run projects well.
