Elcom Networks Ltd is a Limited Company registered in Kenya. Elcom Networks Limited works to deliver to sub-Saharan Africans the vision captured in SDG 7 – “Affordable & Clean Energy”, by providing efficient, reliable, affordable, smart solar energy systems with internet enabled monitoring and control devices. These systems provide clean energy for modern living and competitive production in a healthy and clean environment and eliminate the polluting biomass and fossil fuels that are currently the main energy source for lighting and cooking for over 500 million sub-Saharan Africans. Elcom Networks smart solar energy systems have internet enabled devices for monitoring individual homes’ solar panels output, battery storage charge and discharge, energy consumption and energy bills settlement. An online dashboard provides an instant view of the field operations. Analysis of the captured data allows us to optimize the individual home solar energy investments and operation to maximize the home owner investment returns.
Elcom Networks Ltd works with local sales agents and opinion leaders in underserved regions to transform the lifestyles of individuals and entire communities, starting with clean energy access. Elcom Networks Ltd promotes solar devices, technology and easy Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) options for clean energy access in these regions that are affordable alternatives to polluting fossil fuels.
Partnership
Elcom Networks Ltd. is supplying and marketing the Homesol brand EPC in Africa. We believe that the issues now hindering upscaling of electric cooking using EPC in sub-Saharan Africa are lack of awareness, technology gap and lack of pro-poor clean energy access credit so that households at the bottom of the energy pyramid can pay for the clean energy systems for cooking and lighting utilizing the daily household energy budget. If supported, Elcom Networks Ltd. will utilize the funds to create awareness of the affordability and benefits of electric cooking using the EPC, close the technology gap and promote electric cooking and change cooking habits by upscaling our offering of the smart solar system to incorporate sufficient KW capacity to support electric cooking. In addition, we offer PAYG and bank credit so that the households can afford the bundled combination of the smart solar system and the electric pressure cooker.
