Mission
Energy In Common raises funds that allow the spread of clean cookstoves in the developing world. We try to bring a face to energy poverty and we look to both catalyze the spread of green technologies and educate the general public.

Energy In Common is the first person to person lending platform to specifically address energy poverty and climate change. We raise funds for the implementation of clean energy projects in the developing world.;We train microfinance institutions in the development and implementation of green energy lending programs that supply clean stoves and various solar products to those who need it most. We also monetize carbon offsets in a unique way.

We currently work with 5 MFIs in sub-saharan africa and we primarily work with the BOP population in rural and peri-urban areas. We have improved the lives of over 2,000 people through green energy in our first year.

Our organization raises funds that are used to spread green energy. We have experience in the implementation and tracking of clean stove projects. Our main efforts are fundraising and public education regarding the problem.
