Clean Cooking Activities
Essmart distributes clean cookstoves as part of its catalogue for peri-urban and rural south India. Prior to adding them into our catalogue, we test these cookstoves for their technical specifications and durability. After adding them to the catalogue, we perform marketing demonstrations in villages and in mom-and-pop kirana stores. After a customer purchases the cookstove, Essmart is available for after-sales service through the manufacturers’ warranties. We become the connector between the clean cookstove manufacturer and the end user.
We also distribute a range of life-improving products that use solar energy and electricity.
Partnership
Essmart is always searching for the best social impact technologies for distribution in India. Being a partner of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves would give us knowledge of and access to the highest-quality, most efficient, and most effective cookstoves that are available on the market today. Essmart can contribute its expertise in distributing cookstoves commercially, and the organization can also provide feedback on user adoption of different models of cookstoves from Indian users.
