FOCALIS

Mission

FOCALIS is an industrial structure that develops, manufactures and markets an innovative cooking device powered by solar energy.

We designed the « SOLARIO SAFE », a highly efficient energy-giving solar cooker to meet the needs of women in developing countries. Today, it is the first device of its type to have the same performance as firewood or gas.

It allows women to make all the dishes without using wood. This new solar cooker is patented and internationally recognized for its technical innovation (a prize by Concours Lépine, in France).

Clean Cooking Activities

USING A SOLARIO SAFE = 75% of wood economy.

« We offer real savings and meaningful change in the lives of women ».

Acquisition by microcredit is amortized on wood savings, so as not to burden consumers. From the second year on, when the unit is repaid, the savings become very important.

Households as well as kiosks or women turning food for sale have more problems with the rising price of wood and can achieve significant financial savings.

A lot of advantges :
- A tool in the fight against deforestation and desertification
- An essential lever for the rehabilitation of ecosystems
- No smoke or CO2 emissions
- Long life of the product over time
- Sturdy materials
- ON / OFF position to turn off the power
- Simple settings with a user-friendly energy efficiency - monitoring system
- Energy source safer to handle than fossil fuels
- No flame, instant start
- Dish always stays cold
- No noxious fumes causing respiratory and eye problems
- Upright cooking position
- Water sanitation

Partnership

We want to spread the SOLARIO SAFE to respond primarily to the needs of rural populations, in the region most affected by desertification.

The success of the project will depend on monitoring women's use of the device. This ground support is the best guarantee for SOLARIO SAFE to have proper socio-cultural integration.

We are a technical partner for storage, installation and maintenance of equipment will also manage training and promotion of the SOLARIO SAFE.

The production chain of SOLARIO SAFE will gradually be transferred in terms of increased volume demand. With a decrease in the price of SOLARIO SAFE and therefore grants to acquire the device, the project will be more anchored in this market, autonomous and viable.
