Clean Cooking Activities
Over the years we have conducted many medical clinics throughout the Yucatan Peninsula and have discovered that many people suffered from respiratory problems due to cooking over the three stone open fires. As a result with started a clean stove project installing ONIL stoves in the Mayan Zone of Mexico. We are small but we have already installed 250 stoves and hope to install 1,000 in the next year. We raise money and have volunteers come down and help install stoves. We teach and bring awareness to the problem.
Partnership
We have relationships and trust among the Mayan people and they are now willing to change and try new things because of years of relationship building. I would like to learn more about new clean stove technologies and how we could better help the Mayan people in the future.
