Clean Cooking Activities
Our strategy is geared toward: Strengthening the technical and financial capabilities of all stakeholders involved in the value chain of TRETs for domestic, productive and community use (manufacturers, distributors, marketers and end users); Supporting the development of TRET markets characterized by high quality, efficiency, and safety, while promoting innovative products, technical regulations, and adequate standards; and Positioning TRETs as a viable alternative for driving sustainable livelihoods.
Entrepreneurs promoted by the fund have sold more than 15,000 improved cooking stoves; 2 out of 3 ha been sold, increasing the sustainability of access to a type of technology that is usually subsidized.
Partnership
IICA Peru, an active partner of the Working Group, is focused on market dynamics and new products, and participates in the Red Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Cocinas Limpias, the Latin American network of clean stoves.
