Clean Cooking Activities

Some IFHE members in different countries of the world initiated best practice projects as well as research projects related to cooking methods and sustainable energy use. The results were presented on conferences and our Household Technology & Sustainability Programme Committee Website.

The IFHE conducts a Programme Committee Household Technology & Sustainability. These Programme Committee takes up the tasks:
• to qualify and quantify environmental effects coming from the use of technical devices in households.
• to identify sustainable technological solutions for daily household work.
• to identify "best practices" for doing household jobs.
• to disseminate ‘best practices' and train the correct use of devices in households.

Partnership

The IFHE can partner especially with its expertise, skills and research results in household technology, including cooking technology and energy use. IFHE will promote the initiative through its international network of home economists and home economics organizations, especially in developing countries. IFHE will motivate its members in developing countries to conduct projects related to clean cooking in rural area, especially for women.
