Clean Cooking Activities

We have noted the dangers of over reliance on wood as the main source of cooking energy and more so heating energy during cold winters. This is leading to increased deforestation as wood need is now encouraging felling down of green trees. Moreover the health dangers associated with wood smoke on children and women at large. Girl children spend productive time looking for firewood and in most cases exposing them to sexual abuse in the woodlands. Lastly, we want to encourage the youths to take initiatives that would guarantee them a clean future, encourage them to be innovative and control their destiny.

Partnership

We wish to have some of our youths trained to know how to manufacture, use and maintain these clean cooking stoves so that they will train others. We will also advocate for behavioral change from reliance on wood and ethanol, kerosene use to solar energy and other clean energy use. We wish to distribute solar lamps to rural children for their reading use. Provide alternate clean energy to rural Zimbabwe. Encourage afforestation in Zimbabwe by reducing wood demand. Will train youths to be able to install and maintain clean energy plants. Would also love to make available these clean energy gadgets to the rural people of Zimbabwe.
