Clean Cooking Activities

Mbeya University of Science and technology is proud of its expertise base it has that can be utilized to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by supporting creation of a
thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions in line with HCCF goal.

The University is interested to provide humanitarian support to improve livelihood of populations relying on solid fuels such as firewood, charcoal, and agricultural waste to cook their daily meals. In implementing this, the University focuses on
developing new innovations that give clean and
efficient cook stoves and fuel. This helps families to direct their resources to other development aspects of life and optimize the use of available fuel for cooking. The University also embraces the cooking solutions that address challenges existing in humanitarian settings due to poor cookstoves.

Partnership

Mbeya University of Science and Technology will contribute on development of new technologies/innovations for cookstoves, researching, testing of materials for making cookstove and fuel, training on use of developed cookstoves and fuel
