Clean Cooking Activities
The Norwegian Government will contribute an additional 40 mill USD over four years to the international effort of ensuring clean cooking worldwide. This will have multiple benefits; improved health from better air quality, limited climate change and reduced poverty. We will work closely with the Global Alliance on Clean Cookstoves in this effort. In addition, Norway supports the following organizations and programmes in this area: Energizing Development (EnDev); Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC); World Health Organization; World Bank's work on improving air quality in Asia/Africa (PMEH); and bilateral programmes on clean cookstoves in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Nepal.
