Clean Cooking Activities
NECO is working with grass root communities with 22 villages in Serengeti Mara Region and 10 villages at Karagwe Kagera region Tanzania.In serengeti district the villages are bordering Ikorongo game reserve ,the communities in this area are livestock keepers and they poor people which are using mostly charcoal and firewood for cooking which pose destruction of the environment as most the trees have been cut so that the community to get charcoal and fire wood for cooking their food so by preventing them the use of fire wood we had to provide them another alternative source which is clean cook stoves in them.We do this is cost sharing method which the community will contribute 2% for this stoves ,because this a new technology we need Clean cooking Alliance to training at the first time to NECOs officers and after the Organization will continue training to communities who will benefit with this clean cook stoves.
Partnership
Nyamiruguyu Environment Conservation Organization(NECO) will participate by providing training the communities after been provided the clean cook stoves ,we will work also with Clean Cooking Alliance in villages where our organization work for example in Serengeti we are planning to work with 22 villages and 10 villages from Karagwe Kagera Region with collaboration with Clean Cooking Alliance.NECO is a new organization which was established in 2017 and get registration 24 September 2018 so it is still new so when we agreed to work with your Organization we will sign an MOU .Our Organization will contribute by training the local communities who will be getting the stoves
