Mission

School of Environment & Energy
The School of Environment and Energy (SEE) was established in 2009. Its mission is to address critical contemporary issues related to energy and the environment that are challenging the continued development of both China and the world. SEE focuses on these issues through research and education in the broad areas of renewable energy and environmental protection. SEE conducts mission-oriented, innovative and interdisciplinary research and has adopted a multi-dimensional model of research and teaching that encourages both local and international collaborations among academic, public and industrial agencies. It focuses on converting waste into new energy and improving both the quality of life and economic growth without environmental side effects, climate change in particular. Its primary goal is to help the world build a zero- or low-carbon economy by developing new and renewable energy sources.
