We are a new clean-tech venture developing household appliances that reduce carbon emissions while delivering income and health benefits to our customers in low and middle-income countries (LMIC). As a product design oriented company with a deep understanding of how to grow markets by leveraging carbon finance, we seek to become the leading provider of emissions reducing products and technology to consumers in LMIC. Our products are designed to tap into dual revenue streams: small incremental payments from our customers and payments for emissions reductions from global emission reduction buyer.
Our first solution is a line of electric pressure cookers designed specifically for sub-Saharan African markets. Our mix of proprietary technology and carbon revenue will accelerate affordability and positive behavioral change particularly for women who are mostly involved in cooking.
Partnership
PowerUP will engage the clean cooking community first by empowering knowledgeable last-mile distributors with the clean technology products, financing workflow, and supporting tools to drive positive behavioral change in the cooking space. We seek to share our Research and Development insights with industry players and search for new business models and new ways to collaborate.
