Clean Cooking Activities
The aim is to get across to various women, girls and households in Nigeria through interpersonal, classroom and community-based learning, communication and interaction. We intend to partner with academic, health, nutrition, agriculture, Government and Non-government organizations and media professionals in providing useful education, research, monitoring, implementation and evaluation for the success of the programme. Effective use of BCC on Clean Cookstove technologies would reduce health problems faced by women as a result of emission of toxic while cooking with traditional stove. A change in behavior and a global crusade for Clean Cook stoves is expected at the end of the programme.
Partnership
Our organization is willing to contribute to this partnership by creating awareness on clean cook stove through the use of media, seminars, one on one campaign. We will inaugurate clubs for the sensitization of clean cook stove in our secondary and tertiary institutions where we have young girls who can learn how to cook. Our young graduates who are serving the nation for one year will be incorporated into creating the awareness wherever they will be posted while serving. Celebrities, religious leaders, political icons and people of reputable and impeccable characters will be made to use the clean cook stove and they will be shown in different media. Thereby enabling those that see them as role model to adopt the use of clean cook stove. Our contribution will be in kind by rendering selfless services where it is required, our labor and bringing volunteers to help in the enlightenment campaign as well as raising fund within and outside the Global Alliance to create more awareness, kick start the production of fuel that can be used for the stove and as well establish more channels that will help in the sales, distribution and marketing of the clean cook stove.
