Sistema Biobolsa is a high-quality modular biogas system that is capable of converting organic waste from farms, agribusinesses and toilets into an energy-rich biogas and organic fertilizer. Our patented and proven design reimagines biogas systems as durable goods that can be prefabricated and efficiently distributed worldwide. We serve small subsistence farmers, productive scale agricultural operations, and household and institutional bathrooms. With over 10 years of R&D and nearly six years as a social business, we have proven the performance of Sistema Biobolsa in over 2500 farms in nine countries. We help farmers produce electrical, mechanical and thermal renewable energy with a full range of biogas motors, stoves and boilers. Sistema Biobolsa comes as a turn-key system, can be installed in hours, and requires little maintenance. We complement the innovative technology with a financing program with KIVA and a cloud-based service and impact monitoring program.
We use efficient cookstoves to bring the biogas to our clients’ kitchen, allowing them to displace wood and LP gas. These clean cookstoves and clean fuels bring high quality renewable energy to families of thousands of smallholder farmers.
